Right. But she’s correct to point out that the widely circulated screenshots are extremely misleading about what the ad actually was and thus what she signed on to do. I think she’s also correct to call out how the media reported the Dove ad.

Being in real estate myself (managing my family’s small portfolio of industrial property) it absolutely enrages me that 45 has not paid so many of his contractors yet somehow still owns anything. The man should be in prison.

I think it’s interesting that Corker’s background was running big real estate companies. We all know that Trump’s previous job was bullshit, but I imagine as someone who knows the industry ins and outs he knows exactly how bullshit it was.

It has parallels though. Black women who feel the need to relax their hair over social norms is part of the stigma why we have people who look down on locs and frizzy hair in the first place. It’s why people have felt the need to gatekeep having dreadlocks for some reason recently.

A system that relies on people to be thoughtful, courteous and responsible is doomed to fail.
