That is a good and fun car. If I could get similar good and fun in a scaled down version in a hatchback I would be well pleased. But that is not the car America wants. America wants to sit up tall.
I leased one for three years (2016-19), and it was a great car in many respects: cheap to own because they had deals available, mostly cheap to operate (see below), excellent gas mileage, excellent interior, attractive exterior (YMMV), fit and finish was top notch.
