I think there’s a good bit of sincerety even within the meme, at least in art/craft communities. He’s kind of the patron saint of not getting stressed over your work, and a lot of people will pass on his videos, or gifs of them, as a calming aid.

If the TV is on, more than likely it will be on ID. But lately I’ve discovered that HLN does marathons of Forensic Files which is my favorite, because of the narrator. His voice, despite describing horrific events, is very soothing.

Personally I prefer “NASA’s Unexplained Files”
