Oh man, that reminds me: I saw The Fall Guy yesterday and there’s a line where someone walks into a room that’s been trashed and says “Jeez, were Johnny and Amber in here?”

Good. Fuck that guy.

Your use of “pig” reminded me of a John Waters quote about Roy Cohn (regarding Cohn & company doing cocaine in Provincetown): “I wouldn’t have my nostril on the same straw as that pig.”

The fact that Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong are starring in this indicates that they are going to rip Trump a new one. They are going to absolutely skewer his criminal ass.

I’ve never seen a photo of Trump that could be even generously described as “flattering.” He’s a gross old pig and always has been.

Now playing

But nothing beats the smell of Pretention. (By Fry and Laurie).

Fuck advertisements.

Also other reviewers have had difficulty explaining what the fuck this film is.

At a certain point there has to just be a fear of stopping too soon and getting thought of badly for it. Pan’s Labyrinth is a great movie but I think an applause the length of a sitcom episode is absurd even for that

Yeah. I’ll be different and say I enjoyed the hell out of reading this review. Frankly, from what I have heard about the film, this review captures the tone and content of its subject far better than any AVC piece since Dowd was still writing here. It’s hella more entertaining than the soulless recaps I’ve resigned

It kinda jumped around. It covered most (but not all) of the first book, plus probably a third of the second, plus some stuff they just made up.

I am not sure kissing an 85 year old man is gonna get your extras into the mood you want Frank

I don’t mean to sound snide but this woman’s entire career came and went and suddenly there’s biopics and docs about her and I’m just like “Wait, what? Who is this?”

Then I read up and she was, apparently, really famous. But I swear to god the Matrix just conjured her out of thin air, I barely recall seeing anything

Zuckerberg has the exact same haircut...

Oh I was just teasing about your exhaustion with supernatural narratives; so much of the concept of fiction and storytelling hinges on cogitating on the impossible so I thought it was a funny thing to be sick of. That said I get it: mainstream film is very beholden to genre concerns at the moment.

Oh, was Rhianna not available?

Always the dollars. Always the fucking dollars.

ScarJo is good with a good script. But without, I could see her being worried an AI version of her could out-act her relatively soon.

Pop culture of the early 1900s is much more baffling to me. So much sheet music, so many nickelodeons.

Let’s have a discussion about how much money my brothers and sisters performing at Coachella are making for scumbag Phillip Anschutz. And who exactly is this music festival for at $500 per ticket.
