Honestly, Hendrix had the right idea. Hendrix had the right idea about most things.

I don’t know, that cult seemed to be the only people having any fun in the movie. I’d love to see what that weird crew of middle-aged eccentrics were up to in 1960s NYC.

Kali Reis was the best thing about Night Country. Absolutely powerhouse, and she should be a goddamn star.

That’s for the seventh inning stretch.

It is an absolutely horrendous song musically and the lyrics aren’t much better. It sucks.

My problem with non-gendered awards is that women are already undervalued in Hollywood, while having to work harder. Women actors spend most of their time emoting, while men spend it running around and blowing up stuff.

I really don’t want the preponderance of awards going to guys blowing up stuff.

Yeah unfortunately that’s the closest theater to me that’s not a drive in, so I basically don’t see first run movies that come out over the winter anymore.

RIP Shannen Doherty. This one bums me out more than any of the others this weekend :(.

I don’t think it is unreasonable that somebody who took pride in his fitness and appearance would prefer to be remembered in his prime rather than be the source of jokes by people who would make fun of how despite how good his exercise and diet were, that age eventually took its toll on him.

Say what you will about how diet and fitness have evolved over time, but Richard Simmons was the rare gem that actually gave a crap about actually helping folks get healthy and happy. Sweatin to the Oldies and all his videos/ specials were filled with real people who were there to get active in whatever way they could

Pauly Shore is beyond an asshole for basically stalking a guy who clearly relished his privacy and who was taking substantial effort to keep out of the public eye. I’m glad Simmons was able to ensure some level of protection from people prying despite this; he was a hell of a character and performer, and by most

Dr. Ruth and Richard Simmons on the same day.  Farewell, legends.  The 80s really are over.

And Richard Simmons as well... what a shit weekend. RIP.

Foreign box office makes sense.

Yeah, that was my take as well. I have zero interest in ever seeing him again, but he went from contrite to “I did my 40 days in the desert” as if he had turned over a 6 month sand dial and declared the situation over.

He made jokes about school shooting victims

He got criticized for humiliating and harassing women, get out of it

but it does seem that humiliating the women was part of it

Frankly, I’ve never thought that Louie’s behavior rose to the level of Cosby’s or Weinstein’s but it does seem that humiliating the women was part of it. Otherwise, why not just find a willing participant or hire a sex worker to watch you.

Yeah, I guess I just don’t understand the compulsion or need to jerk off in front of uncomfortable people. Seems like if I had that compulsion, I’d maybe want to seek help for it.
