I’m talking about the entire media show surrounding the election. There is no other good word except for “Spectacle” and readers/viewer are going to go apesh*t over it.

I would not want to know any of these people. Since we’re living in a celeb-attention economy (youtubers/influencers) and an attention economy, I’m wondering if this all might have a delightful side effect. People get totally sick of chronic Perfomers and their sheepy fans.
