Adored every Deus Ex game (well, didn't adore #2, but it was fine)… Human Revolution royally screwed up those boss battles though. Agreed. Thank goodness for the Director's Cut!

This reminds of me of my experience playing console FPS games with friends, when all I've ever used is a mouse and keyboard on the PC. It really is a gargantuan task to learn and get the feel of a gamepad in an FPS. I've yet to hit that 1:1 ratio in any FPS using a gamepad. Someday. Someday…
