$20 bucks for 3 hours is less than minimum wage.  That doesn’t sound great at all.

When I am hiring independent contractors, one thing stands out: Independent contractors can set their own price, and they aren’t required to bid on every job we open.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for protecting endangered species that are endangered because of humans fucking around. I grew up in Maine, and voted for Susan Collins a couple of times while I was still on the register there. A lot of it was because when I was a youngin’, I wrote her a letter about a panda preserve, and she wrote me back and also donated $1,000 to the preserve, so I thought she was great.

As a Maine voter for all but one election, she’s right that we value integrity and independence. However for many of us, she stopped showing anything like that years ago, and the Kavanaugh vote was simply the most egregious example.

I saw the shortage coming and grabbed one last Monday at lunch. It was *pretty* good, but it’s still pretty much just a chicken sandwich.

They knew they had the possibility of being sanctioned and still chose to protest because these issues are so important to them. I applaud both of them for taking a stand despite the risks. Hirshland can fuck herself.
