It all went downhill when they replaced crullers with “chocolate sticks.”

Hi-yo, Silver!

I’ve inquired about who the hardcases are going to be and there appear to be (thankfully) few who are trying to rally support for fast-track, full-staff, no protocols reopening. But, luckily, those are in one of our offices in a state that is requiring temperature checks at entrances, so they’ll have to comply with at

There’s a doughnut place near me that I describe as “The way Dunkin Donuts used to make their doughnuts.” Everyone my age (43) or older knows exactly what I mean and knows I mean it as praise.

This is what we’re currently trying to figure out. We’re a big corporate firm, so I fully anticipate clients who will have negative attitudes toward masks. The true gist of the document is: If you’re going to visit a client, ask about their protocols in advance and then adhere to them without griping. If they ask you

And to put it in language the Boomers can understand, cowboys wore masks. Name me one male Boomer who didn’t want to be a cowboy when he was a kid. Now’s your chance! Yee-haw!!!

I work in marketing at a law firm and am currently preparing a guidance document on how our attorneys can appropriately present themselves and best represent the firm once they begin to have in-person meetings with clients again. It’s two pages, but I can give you the gist in 7 words:

Anyone else find that their devotion to the CW-DCU kind of evaporated after the end of Crisis? I was a regular watcher from the first episode of Arrow until That series ended. Since then, I’ve found I have no real interest in any of the shows. Maybe it’s because Crisis felt like the endpoint that the shows had been

“Let’s show them how we learned nothing from the music industry in the 2000s and have spent the last ten years pretending digital comics don’t exist and how there was no need for the entire workforce of creators to stop making a product that could just as easily be distributed electronically because the publishers are

It could win . . . and it will be so BORING. Which is all anyone seems to want right now. They just want to retreat to “normal,” which includes going back to the days when people felt comfortable disconnecting from politics, government, and their civic responsibility. Biden/Klobuchar is an cynically ideal auto-pilot

I think he’ll win, but the guy has no vision for this country. He’s clearly not particularly interested in running—he’s just doing his duty to the party. All he stands for is “No More Trump,” which, yes, is THE most important thing right now, but it’s a destination not a direction. Once the Orange Goblin is out of

“Immediate family members? What immediate family members? Eric and Don Jr.? I don’t know them. We’ve never met. I’ve heard fantastic things about them. Really tremendous. But I’ve never had any contact with either of them.” —Trump

Oh look, there’s Susan Collins voting with Good Ol’ Mitch to allow warrantless snooping of anyone the government wants. So “independent!”

This thread is reminding me that I’ve been meaning for a long (loooong) time to do a little archaeology and dust off my mid-1990s MacBook with the SCSI port and use my old Zip drive to transfer the files to my current computer. And then do the same with my early 2000s MacBook.

My personal laptop is a 2009 MacBook Pro. Still runs Photoshop CS5, Word, and Chrome, so I can still design t-shirts, write whatever, and pay my bills. The battery is basically shot, though—I’m lucky if I get 30 minutes before it dies, so it mostly stays plugged in on my desk these days. Which is fine if not ideal.

It does not taste good. Imagine if, in order to get to the meat inside, you first had to chew through 1/4” of something with the texture of a rubber Halloween mask and the durability of cheap shoe leather.

“I got lots a tools. They can build things. They can also take ‘em down.”

He’s a top advisor to the President. Agreeing to sign a marriage license with him could be rationalized as a good career move if for no other reason than the access it would grant you.

Throat stabbing would kill him in a matter of minutes. With COVID, he at least suffers several days before his end. Miller deserves a slow, lingering, painful exit. And it would just be poetic justice for it to be something that originated in another country that does it.

People tell me Stephen Miller is smooth down there, like a Ken doll. That’s what people tell me, so it’s true.
