    SO MANY TIMES.

This was the first thing I thought of, although they'd have to build a ton of backstory because the Mitchell thing wouldn't have happened in the new timeline... right?

    No, Seph because then they

One of our big stumbling blocks in a society, global or otherwise, is our tendency to try and compartmentalize everything... so that we lump certain unquestionably unscientific theory together with "Creationists," and then it becomes easier to say "all creationists are clearly delusional" when in fact some

Astronomically less cool if he's wearing the costume depicted above, is the answer to your question.

You had me, and, I venture to guess, MOST of us at "butch dyke female" but you REALLY clinch your argument with "black strong butch woman."

Yeah, the list of things in the unchecked column is growing pretty short. I think after haunted car, haunted elevator and the spooky doorway to another realm may be all that's left for this season to cover. But there's still lots of time... I'm sure they can manage those items and handle the psychotic dude's spirit

Oh, and Grace being shot really surprised me. I thought that character was in it to win it.

    I thought so too.

I am having a really hard time keeping track of the modern day story. Its only purpose I can see is adding the suspense line of "who is bloody face NOW?" It's effective, but so less interesting than the Briarcliff history (and so less addressed) that I'm missing a ton of the details.

I am so in agreement with a) Horse shit; and b) uncomfortable wrist stuff. Especially the horse shit. Although I thought it was dramatically done well and I like what this means for Lange's character, it is just too impossible to believe she never once thought to check in on this girl's history and discover this

Holy crap that would be nuts. Even for this show.

Ew, but yes, the play on words was intended.

I agree with you about the fact that it's confusing and you don't know who the protags and antags are, but I would argue that's what makes this show good. Do you think we'd be interested in talking about it if the plot was ONLY "oooh there's a nazi war criminal doing secret experiments in an insane asylum," or "oooh

I'm not entertained. I'm FABULOUSLY entertained. This show is amazing to watch BECAUSE of the unbelievable amount of weird they keep throwing into the mix.

I don't think you're over-thinking it at all. The play on perceptions in the two-parter was in my mind too much to not be a signal of something. The leanness of Lana's face, the different filters depicting the husband's descriptions of his home life with Anne Frank's...

Yes! In fact, I started to wonder this week if there isn't a possibility that everything we're watching... everything... isn't some sort of patchwork insanity that's built out of everyone in the asylum. That nothing is real but somehow the lunatics are all sharing one collaborative fever dream.

Oh right! And one of them shot the young wife and then they were both arguing about something, right?

Well, I have a question for anyone following this thread: I haven't rewatched, and probably won't get to for a bit, but I definitely thought or assumed there were two Bloodyfaces walking around in the "present day" asylum storyline. It's hazy, but I had the impression that one had been trapped somewhere and then when
