Release the crappin'!
Release the crappin'!
Fun. Good fun.
Have not yet seen Italo Calvino's Cosmicomics on this list yet but didn't click through to the others. It was on the list of the Science Fiction as Literature class I took and is pretty amazing. I still have it and come back to it often.
Lauren's truly excellent piece makes me wish I hadn't skipped the arctic carousel last week, but here goes:
I still think the enduring question about LOST is "how could this thing have gone so very far off the rails?"
I'm a little rusty on my beloved show, but it WAS implied, wasn't it, that CSM did have some relationship, though, with Mulder's Mom? Like possibly he was Mulder's sister's father?
Totally 100% LOL.
"...but you fail to point out what about Cameron's dive caused those or makes them in any way worse..."
I wasn't clear on the analogy. The author of the original article seems at least partly upset because he's comparing "real scientists" wiht Cameron, who sidestepped the academic model I mentioned. I'm suggesting (poorly, probably) his issue isn't necessarily Cameron's money, it's that Cameron hasn't (presumably)…
I think there are some fair points here, but I feel this line:
That sounds dirtier than I think I wanted it to.
Seconded! As a father of two, I can't afford—temporally or financially—to see movies like this. I read these reviews to satisfy my cravings. Spoil me! Spoil me handily!
You're welcome, Fluffy.
Polling is still early, but I have to believe in my heart of hearts that Highlander II will beat out Last Airbender.
That's a good point: I don't recall it being groundbreaking in any way... just really good.
Oh, and where is Manimal on this list? A true classic.
Does anybody here remember Strange Luck? I LOVED that show but sometimes I feel like I'm one of the only people on the planet who watched it. It was a really enjoyable comedrama that had a sort of weird conspiracy plot (that might have been lame, I don't remember) woven in.
"This is astonishing! And especially this far removed from its natural habitat!"
That's odd: how did somebody get a video camera inside my nightmare?
