If that is a 71 it has a later gearbox as first is doglegged back and to the left.

I can watch this all day just to hear that early 911, even if it is being babied around that track.
Really, I didn’t even notice! I was watching off my laptop plugged into the tv and my monitor, plus using the laptop screen, and once I bailed on Firefox+flash and switched to Safari+HTML5 it worked really well. I figured the occasional drop to low res was due to 3 streams at once through my base spec, el cheapo,…
V12 8-series bmw or a 928, all the stupid you can handle.
I don’t get the Ikea hate, i like it, i’ve been to at least a half dozen of them since my childhood including one in Sweden, most of my furniture is from Ikea and I’m damn near 40. Shit I’ve stopped at Ikea on road trips just for the meatballs.
Does anyone know what corner this is? I’m having a hard time identifying it, and VIR was my home track for years. <hangs head in shame>
I honestly don’t know. It was broken for the vast majority of the time. I mean it was great when it worked, but that was pretty rare...
parts are expensive, they are complicated, and not a lot of people really understand ‘em any more... early cars require an oscilloscope to properly debug... later ones you could plug R2 into the hyperdrive and get some answers...
x-pipe + cat delete == just a gnarly wonderful sound...
two vastly different beasts, though maintenance costs for 968s have probably risen up to match the 928. I almost bought a 968 cab, still haven’t decided if I got lucky or missed out... The 928 is just so pretty.
I mean I dumped almost $10K into it one summer just to get it back on the road. I clearly have some sort of 928 toxoplasmosis. Thats 2x what I initially paid!
Ford Tempo!!! Do the Ford Tempo, I dare you to find one.
This was Freshman year of HIGH SCHOOL... I went to an all male boarding school, and my 2nd freshman roommate, there were 3 over the year... had one outfit, just one. One sports coat, wool, one white shirt, and one pair of gray wool slacks. he wore them every day. he did not wash them. One time he decided to make…
wow this is crazy beautiful. It took all the things that I love about the Lamborghini Espada and shortened and perfected it! LOVE IT!!!!!
I’m pretty sure it’s an 85 Carrera, I ran into these guys near Avon CO while I was driving my white 1970 911 from CA to NC. They were cool, I should have gotten their names!
Hell. Yes. Due to various life and work issues my 1970 911 sat in a parking deck in silicon valley for 7 months while I was back home in North Carolina. 2 Mondays ago I decided it was time to get the car back (I really needed to, it was parked at a company that had decided I was no longer useful after 16 years) so…
