Electricity is relatively inexpensive (most places), but more importantly EVs are very efficient compared to gas cars. The increase in your electric bill is relatively small compared to the money you save not buying gas.

My Model 3 has a 75 kWh battery. Electricity in my region is about 11 cents/kWh. I’ve seen others

Not to be a killjoy about electric cars but I’m curious about a home charger being installed at home.

I don’t have any proof that government disposal centers really do anything “better” for the environment than that

Isn’t the crux of California’s air quality problems due to geography, and they’ve been working to mitigate it for 50 years and shown some real results?

Don’t focus on the fact that the memory/cpu need is inefficient. Focus on the inefficiency of how it impacts your time/budget.

Oops tell your boss sorry for me!

ME: “I’m just going to pop over to Jalopnik and read the headlines, then get some work done.”

Thank God they’ve solved this problem — FINALLY. I have noticed people around me are far too attentive while they’re driving. I’m sure I speak for every motorcyclist when I say I’m relieved this company has finally found a way to keep drivers completely distracted.

I drove for Uber for 6 months in a major market. I never saw the $30 they claim. Actual take home after expenses was closer to $12-$17/hr depending on when it was. Tipping was almost nonexistent.

How would you come up with a number of $30/hr? Well you would have to ignore all the expenses the driver incurs (taxes,

Me: “Ha! Look at those idiots in their luxury crossovers! Real Jalops know those things are for losers. No way I’d ever even think about owning one."

Hmm ... having worked in a business that was fundamentally engineering for a number of years, here’s what I came to observe about that cycle:

Yes, 100%. I had a 2013 Focus with a manual trans and the resale value was rough because its value was being dragged down by the crappy cars. Between the MyFordTouch debacle and the PowerShift disaster (both of which I purposely avoided on that car), no one wanted a used Focus.

Except they don’t want to have to recertify the pilots on the type - the entire selling point of this aircraft was that airlines wouldn’t have to re-cert to fly these things. Flying the max without the MCAS enabled makes it a completely different beast. Which is kind of horrible for the pilots because Boeing made

It could be both:

My wife has one. She loves it. She averages 37mpg, and on freeway only 44mpg.

They are indeed awesome. That reminds me, I made a large post in Oppo back in March or so about my 2004 Touareg project... V10.

Meanwhile in conservative states:

Yeah, tell me how conservatives don’t try to control people. Really, I need a laugh today.
