I forgot about rider swap! If one of your kids is too small for a ride, ask for a rider swap pass for the parent who stayed behind. They’ll give you a fast pass and get you in shortly after.
What you said about shoes- and not just fashion. DO NOT BRING FLIP FLOPS for wearing in park. At the water parks or beach, sure. But not walking around the park. Wear a good cross trainer/athletic type shoe.
If you want a fun, unique souvenir, try pin trading. Cast members are required to trade with guests, and they have unique sets of enamel pins that are a lot of fun.
A lot of times, the photographer cast members will take the picture for you too (unless this policy has recently changed).

Do the most popular rides very first thing. early in the way, they’re less crowded and you’ll get in a lot faster.
If you have a child with a disability or you yourself have one, ask about disability access pass. It allows you to queue without actually standing in line. I’ve used it with my toddler with autism and we’ve been able to keep him busy without struggling through the queue.
My boys use two of my old phones for apps and games on a pretty regular basis.

This is such a blow, because it’s not just to Toy side that’s being affected. The baby side has been a great one-stop shop for me as a parent, that we can get literally everything we’ve needed for our boys.
I talked to the hostess and she thought it was hilarious. :-)
