Oh yeah, everything Miguel is yelling at Miles about on the train is absolutely an allegory for the racism the character faced.

Wow, pissing on the underemployed having to take a bad job over having no job. Very brave

Something tells me it has more to do with fairly inexperienced kids and young adults being told of potential raises that never come and not realizing that they’re going to be expected to work like they’re getting paid commission when they aren’t, all while under constant threat. Seems like you just like to complain

I apologize for not being more specific. My “getting mad” comment was more a reference to OP than it was to you. I think that, objectively, if MK1 had a subtitle instead, it would actually feel more cluttered. MK1 is a nice, clean, cut indicating it’s a new start (as opposed to calling it something like Mortal Kombat:

We support healthy decision making from people in charge.

Mortal Kombat 1-2

MK 1 Series K?

If we can have MW2 and MWII (and maybe MWTwo in the future) then this is fine. /s

In fairness, neither of the previous “Mortal Kombat” titles had 1 at the end. It’s a dumb distinction, but it is technically correct.

What’s funny is this game is technically a reboot but it’s built off the back of the previous game’s ending which means Liu Kang, at minimum, remembers the old timeline so odds are pretty good at some point they’ll just tie it all back together again.

For fuck’s sake stop rebooting shit and starting from the same numbering system as something that already exists.

I often wonder that the long-term plan of Republicans overall is. I mean, this is a group that worked tirelessly to tell people who voted for them that their votes weren’t being counted, that voting was rigged, that results were fraudulent - and then wondered why they had lower voter turnout during the next election.

The thing is, when a show is made for adults, they’ll usually understand when something like this is satirical. Like, the point was 1) Chang is dressed up as a Dark Elf and 2) he looks like he’s in blackface but isn’t. That’s not hard to grasp. I don’t really have a problem with a content warning being added just to

First off that’s not true, there’s court precedent from both the connectix lawsuit and the bleem lawsuit that emulators are perfectly legal.

“...having failed us in that role...”

I spent all season listening to people declare the imminent demise of the Children of the Watch’s religious guidelines while just shaking my head, as a non-religious person, because even I knew “that’s not how religion works.” It wasn’t until someone pointed out that it was rooted in Judaism that I understood why I

Reasonable interpretation, but I prefer to look at things the opposite way (in general). I don’t agree with the assumption that other peoples’ opinions don’t matter. I think often times on the internet people let their worst side through - the internet can be very hostile, so everyone’s defensive by default. We’re

Great write-up. I’ve loved all three seasons of The Mandalorian (and liked large parts of The Book of Boba Fett) for a lot of reasons, but the exploration and restoration of the Mandalorian culture and community is a big one. I find it interesting that people didn’t like Season 3 of The Mandalorian. I thought it did a
