I still enjoyed Buffy. And Angel. And Firefly/Serenity. And Avengers 1 and 2. It would be nice if those things had been made by a likeable person, which I thought he was, but I’ll live.

Captain America literally DOES understand that reference
It wouldn’t surprise me if they’re not allowed to use him. A lot of the Hannibal series was hamstrung by the fact that the creators couldn’t get the rights to Silence of the Lambs and the Clarice Starling character. There’s a point in the show where they SHOULD have transitioned to Clarice as the main character and…
It’s weird. I’m not sure if I can make my brain categorize it as “anti-semitic”, since its attempted logic intrinsically recognizes the Holocaust as A Bad Thing, but it’s still obviously disgusting insofar as it attempts to equates her unpopularity with the persecution and genocide of the Jewish people during the…
MCU villains taken alive or otherwise not killed by the heroes:
Being a working actor who is pretty far from being a household name, of course Carpenter would’ve worked with him again. She wanted to work. But she’s old enough now that Whedon probably wouldn’t cast her in anything anyway, so there’s no more reason to be diplomatic about it.
Darcy has mentioned that the Hex is releasing a “colossal” amount of CMBR, which certainly could cause genetic damage that causes mutations. There’s also the fact that Earth has been ground zero for not one, not two, but three snaps of the Infinity Gauntlet, releasing massive amounts of radiation that can be detected…
Wu? You mean Jimmy Woo? What’s he done?
Hawkeye and Loki were both under the influence of the Mind Stone. Bucky got brainwashed pretty heavily. Wanda and Pietro were both brainwashed with the Mind Stone and Wanda never got deprogrammed in Wakanda the way Bucky did. Whatever was done to her still lingers, as we can see in the commercials.
“less than perfectly rational and selfless in a moment of extreme grief” doesn’t quite cover torturing a town full of people. And let’s be real here: a town of almost 4,000 would definitely have had children in it, and if the children had escaped SWORD would have mentioned, so the fact that there are no children…
Speak for yourself! I liked it. What let it down was the budget, but the actors really did well with the characters.
Well what’s interesting is that SOMEBODY is providing it, so clearly everyone who helped in the Endgame battle has been offered amnesty. But we know from WandaVision that the Sokovia Accords are still in full effect, so clearly everyone who’s been offered amnesty has been told that they “totally have to follow the…
Let’s just call a fish a fish: Roger Ebert wasn’t as smart as he liked to think he was, and declaring games to not be art was one example of that. In much the same way that Martin Scorsese is a great director but he was talking out of his ass when he said that Marvel movies aren’t cinema.
Of course you can win art.
Depends on the time of day and day of week. Nowadays, TV channels have infomercials or Euronews in the wee hours but I remember as a child waking up ridiculously early on Sunday mornings and the likes of Sky One (IIRC) would have stuff in B&W like Laurel and Hardy and Rin Tin Tin.
As an Irishman, absolutely ancient US sitcoms are rebroadcast here all the time. In the 90s the likes of The Brady Bunch was shown on Saturday mornings IIRC, and Who’s the Boss? was on weekday afternoons in the 00s, etc. Never underestimate how cheap local channels can be.
Neither Friends nor Seinfeld were family sitcoms where the main focus was a single family household featuring mom, dad and kids or occasionally less traditional family units. The likes of The Cosby Show, Roseanne, Home Improvement, Married... With Children, Blossom, Everybody Loves Raymond, Sister Sister, King of…
Gentle reminder: FFH is set after WandaVision
Perhaps Dormammu? Giving a grief-stricken magic user more power is his MO.
Honestly, I’m somewhat pleased that Marvel/Disney is giving work to so many actresses over 50 (Hayek, Marisa Tomei, Ming-Na Wen, Michelle Pfeiffer, Wai Ching Ho, Tilda Swinton, Rene Russo, etc) not only as main characters but as kick-ass main characters. The fact that Hollywood tends to discard actresses once they hit…
