Not just a Sith Lord - a Sith Master. He’ll probably even have an apprentice handpicked from the Knights of Ren.

I think people are saying yes Poe’s a reckless dumbass who deserves to be brought up on charges but Holdo could’ve stopped him by nipping it in the bud
OK well I mean I agree she should’ve done that but I can forgive the movie for not doing that, since from her perspective they were just about to start evacuation so sending him to the brig just to bring him back might’ve seemed like a waste of time and she underestimated how much damage he could/would do in 15…
1. Maz says plenty of people can do the codebreaking job, but only one person (aside from herself) that she actually trusts. Finding another person who can do it isn’t a massive coincidence, it’s them lowering their standards. DJ didn’t leave beforehand because he was getting a good night’s sleep (probably a hangover)…
What, like Luke and Ben?
But then we wouldn’t get the scene of Luke and Leia together again one last time
There’s nothing to say Holdo couldn’t have been the amazing pilot who alone could pull off the one-in-a-million hyperspace ramming manoeuvre. When she’s introduced Poe comments that she’s famous/notorious and “not what I expected”. I assume she didn’t get to be a Resistance vice-admiral just by being good at paperwork.
Why? He had no role to play in the plan aside from getting on the transport to evacuate. Why tell him what he doesn’t need to know? Because he’ll mutiny? She didn’t know that. She should have? Maybe, but she was busy coordinating a fighting retreat, worrying too much about the external threat to see the internal one.
The Raddus was the biggest ship the Resistance had. If you have so much money you can afford to launch ships like that willy nilly, why not just go the whole hog and build a Death Star.
My guess is it’s a desperation tactic that has a high chance of not working. I wouldn’t be surprised if 99% of the time, aiming your ship at a bigger ship and jumping to hyperspace results in bouncing off the enemy’s deflector and hitting a planet 500 lightyears away
So can we all agree that Holdo’s mistake was not throwing Poe in the brig?
It was subtle but by informing her of the obvious, asking if she had a plan and then assuming that her highest priority at that moment was making sure the X-Wing division leader felt good about himself, Poe was disrespecting her and trying to insert himself into command decisions that weren’t his business. He wanted…
People not trusting strangers they just met five minutes ago is contrived?
If your character has a countermeasure for everything the opponent’s character can do, then tier lists don’t matter. Tiers only matter when one character is able to bully another without fear of punishment, like Super Turbo’s Akuma vs Super Turbo’s Zangief.
Of course it’s an Idiot Plot. The point of the plot is that none of them were as clever as they thought they were.
Finn wasn’t trying to save himself so much as save Rey by getting the binary beacon as far away from that mess as possible.
Keeping the plan secret was meant to prevent the plan from leaking to the enemy. Like how Poe, as soon as he barged past security and saw the transports were being fuelled to abandon ship, immediately leaked that info to Finn and Rose while DJ eavesdropped. AS SOON AS POE KNEW THE PLAN IT GOT LEAKED TO THE ENEMY.
Yeah, this is the_donald continuing its online smear campaign trying to get the movie led by a woman, a black man and a Hispanic man to tank. Keep living in the real world and you’ll be much happier.
Yeah so far the saga hasn’t had a real love triangle, which you would think a soap opera in space would’ve done by now. The OT had a hint of one when Han thought Leia was with Luke, and the PT had a hint of one in the RotS novelisation when a nightmare-haunted, sleep-deprived Anakin started getting paranoid that Padmé…
No it’s not that there’s no point. Trying to help is what makes you not an asshole
