So if you can’t get Cage to volunteer to help you complete your research, it makes sense that you’d wanna see if you could recreate it with his half-brother.

They kinda dealt with it by pointing out that aside from Candace and one or two others, nobody in the club actually knew what Cage looked like so most would’ve assumed that Diamondback WAS Cage.

I’ll grant you that most of the fights in the prequels were crap, but the Duel of the Fates was very emotionally charged in spite of the lack of character development for two of the combatants. Kenobi vs Maul was especially good as you could really see Obi doing his level best to fucking murder Maul.
