I’m not saying that there shouldn’t be any lag. I’m saying that this implementation is pretty damn lazy, You have no control over who you’re matched with. Hell, Nintendo had to be persuaded to allow playing with friends down the line. This on a service that they’re charging for. You mean they can’t offer better

As of now, it’s not. 32 is the limit

You’re being a bit obtuse here, but ok: Out of the solutions that are physically possible, you really think syncing the host and client is what the user base wants?

Should players be set into matches with other players close to them? Yes. That’s how you have a stable game. There is no reason not to at least make an effort to set games up this way unless you just don’t want to bother programming it.

And what about download? Not only are you limited in upload, but you’re also limited to 32 downloaded levels. And yeah, maybe “casuals” won’t hit that limit, but it’s still info I think should be mentioned especially since 1) it’s a professional review and 2) Even casuals know that the MM community is pretty huge.

I don’t see how Nintendo wanting to try and resolve physics conflicts gives them a pass in this area.  Do you think syncing all clients is really a solution that the userbase wants?

What you just explained is a massive increase in lag, as the network lag is being synced with whichever clients have the highest amount of lag. Most major multiplayer games do not have that kind of lag. Like the article explained, the tech kinda sucks and this is a barebones approach. It’s great that people are still

Oh I know. But it’s the same guy. Also some outlets (Nintendo Life did anyway) have acknowledged it, but Kotaku still seems to gloss over it..It’s especially egregious when you consider that they actually uploaded a level, so they should have been the first to mention this.

Every community around a major multiplayer game bitches about matchmaking and it is impossible to make everyone happy.

In Nintendo’s case, people bitch because they went from free to paid. They want some sort of value for Online and so far, they haven’t delivered. Now, I’m not expecting lag free, but I’m willing to guess that they didn’t even try very hard.

The upload limit is pretty easily confirmed though. Just upload a level and you see 1/32

Fuck Nintendo and their backwards-ass stance regarding everything online.

The bigger problem is that there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to who you get matched up with which makes it common for you to get someone with a poor connection or even a good connection but well outside of a reasonable distance. If you want to rely on users to host the game the absolute minimum you can do

Joy-con issues.

I find it massively dumb because Bernie was born for the unvarnished, direct engagement-style political discussion. He could take over Twitch if they applied him properly - the guy created his own no-budget man-on-the-street cable program back in the day, ffs, and owns any town hall he walks into. He understands Twitc

Yeah, the laggy aspect seems really glossed over.

When it’s down to Bernie and one other player in Fortnite, he intentionally loses so he’s not in the top 1%.

How about your focus more on their policies and less on the color of the person, your comment is pretty racist.

At least this one is actually thinking about others. You know, the one thing that should be the core of a politician values, but 99% of them lack.

Worse, it could become a Twitch Plays: Run The United States Edition.
