These promotions are done by third-party companies. The school pays a flat fee and signs a contract, but the liability and all the legalities are handled by the third party. The fee for the team/school is determined by the prize and the odds of winning. And the participant had to sign a contract before participating…

Macon does push Allen at the 6-second mark. Not saying that caused the collision, and 99% of the time that’s not going to be called. But it wasn’t exactly a phantom foul.
So basically they decided Macon shoved Jarrett Allen into James Banks causing the collision. Makes sense to me. Don’t shove a guy in the back on a rebound when you have 3 fouls.
Yes, God forbid you actually try to be a decent human being instead of a self absorbed asshole. I don’t know if he understands that in 20 years he will be one of those old people who are just trying to be nice to the young guy in the office. And at 27 you might not be far away from dealing with YOUR kid having the…
Dude, nobody’s asking you to follow Nickleback on an 18 city tour. Just nod a little, listen for a fraction of a second, and you might find somebody who has your back when shit gets crazy. Or don’t. But I don’t know why some people think they’re Dr. House. Being smart isn’t contingent on being a douchebag.
I didn’t see an iota of evidence that Dante is even remotely interested in doing his job at all, never mind “well.”
I think there’s a difference between humoring people by listening to them (up to a point...I’ve listened to coworker’s monologues and then pretended I had a conference call I had to hop on when I could feel my eyes rolling back into my head) and being outwardly hostile and openly antisocial like the writer is acting.…
Did you tears help the plants grow?
I’m sorry but giving people the advice to leave earlier than all your coworkers is atrocious.
Pretty much. It turns out that the higher up you go, the more you will need to interact and communicate with people. That’s not just the management track, either; that’s being a team lead, systems engineer, subject matter expert, or whatever.
This is great advice if you never want to advance. I have climbed the ladder by being slightly above mediocre and pleasant to everyone. Say hello every day, thank every person involved in a project (especially if they barely did anything) and go to every social event (but only stay for like 30-45 minutes). Also switch…
It’s not corporate speak, it’s “don’t be an asshole for no fucking reason, especially when it can only help you”.
or you could practice on advancing your “ soft skills” and learn to be a personable, approachable human being, despite your differences, and learn that, yes you just might have things in common, and having a healthy network in your office, despite not actually liking anyone, can be extremely helpful
While there is still plenty of time in the year for them to perhaps get a part-time job, don’t while there is still plenty of time in the year for them to perhaps get a part-time job, don’t discount the amount of off-season training they have to do. It would be similar to an employer giving you time off but then…
$19,500 is the equivalent of making $9.38 an hour at a full-time job. Suffice it to say that is not all that close to a living wage, even outside major metropolitan areas.
Usually, “That being said” is the part of a conversation where a person backtracks on what they previously said. You used “that being said” to double down on your statement.
