Just an opinion though, I still am on here frequently but less and less catch myself going "Oh wow, thats cool! *click*" and more and more searching for ye olde articles that I may have missed.

Im confused. If I pay for the 20$/year plan I can upload unlimited mp3s to the amazon cloud and access them for the rest of my life or just for the first year? Also, if I upload any pirated songs will there be any problems with amazon?

Why does Microsoft charge for their server/workstation OSes? Because intellectual property is just that, property. Annual licensing is just another way to sell it, keeps initial price down, I suppose.

You need the license for your pc to be able to receive and trans-code the video. The license is for the pc helper app, not the client.
