I think it has to be. The CX-3 has been around for a while too, and I don’t know if it’s been much of a success. It’s sort of a last-gasp of the “pre-premium” approach Mazda was taking before they went all in on “we fancy”.

I’m okay with this existing but it makes me wonder why the CX-3 still exists. The CX-3 has one trim and choice of FWD or AWD. The Cx-30 only costs 1300 more and has a full line of specs available. Why have 2 cars when one seems to be a lackluster effort for minimal savings.  Even the website explore page is bare bones…
