Stonk and tech bros are half the EV market because of Tesla. This doesn't surprise me one bit.

Little to not at all. Most people don’t pay that much attention.
r/justrolledintotheshop is quite the entertainment hotspot with people coming in with fudge-y oil with 40-60k between changes
“Not a car person” has nothing to do with your wife’s inability to properly maintain a very expensive item.
That buying a car is not a one time purchase. There is regular maintenance that NEEDS to be done, ON TIME! It’s MUCH cheaper to do that maintenance than it is to fix the issues caused by not doing it, if it’s even fixable! There would be a lot more usable, good-condition (high mileage, yes, but the stigma of that…
That us car people get all of our knowledge from internet slideshows.
You didn’t say, “Wait and see,” you called it an “unrelated point.” It’s only an unrelated point if you’ve decided what the motivations of the driver were.
I went back with the Yugo to secure the treats.
If statements like “We should wait for the facts to come out before rushing to judgement” and “I assume a pedestrian crossing a 55 mph 4 lane highway at night is more likely to be hit by accident than on purpose” are an agenda, then I’ll happily sign on to that agenda.
So to your logic; “Innocent until proven guilty.” and “Blind Justice” is an agenda along with any lack of conformity.... Therefore giving you authority to twist the ethics of Journalistic Integrity to your will?
Are you new here?
Driving a technically illegal vehicle on the street is like a car guy rite of passage.
I am a union member, and am staunchly pro-union, but this story (particularly the headline) is misleading, and should be updated. Calling this “part of a pattern of increasing violence against union picketers and other protesters” is also quite likely inaccurate.
If the pro-union crowd is going to be this dishonest, why should I side with them during their strike? How do I know they’re telling the truth about working conditions or benefits or anything else?
Like any established labor union that does this sort of thing regularly, The UAW has a lot of resources on hand to make sure their people can picket safely. Hi-Vis jackets are a no brainer, and some temp lighting is not remotely a crazy ask. And the strike is always going to happen as close as possible to where the…
Because I’m not needlessly speculating on motivation or what “might have happened”. I’m not bringing in unrelated points like deaths during protests last summer. I’m not writing a headline that is factually incorrect (the man was walking to the picket line, not standing on it).
So finally in the last paragraph do you actually get around to providing some real idea of how it happened. The striking union worker was crossing a “Beltway” in the dawning 6:00 am hour. He wasn’t actually on the picket line, unless they are purposefully blocking the roadway as part of the protest. If the guy was…
