You've never driven around a roundabout have you? At least not properly.

Only the Italians could come up with something like that; "she needsa mora weengs!"

No budget for tires...

The guy in the truck is balding and saying "yippee-ki-yay muthafcker"....at least that's what I would be saying. 😉

The top brass are too far removed from the action.. They are now nothing more than bureaucrats and politicians, corrupted by the Washington morass. Secdef William Gates, in his book "Duty", relates his battles and frustrations with the service chiefs in trying to keep their eyes on the wars we are fighting now, rather…

So relieved to know that Homeland Security is keeping us all safe from ..... old cars.

Same here! I wouldn't have strapped in next to one of us! No steering wheel, no go. Have fun with the Atom!

I used to instruct there. You should try it strapped into the passenger seat next to an instructor on a hot lap. It never failed to impress, particularly in the rain. Back in the day you might find yourself next to Mark Webber, Dan Wheldon, Darren Turner, Johnny Mowlem, etc., and we weren't above having a little play…

You sir, are an ass.

Sadly, despite its "Dazzle" camouflage, the Red Bull was sunk by a German U-Boat shortly after its launch.

Seriously? Grow up.

That was a dreadful day, but they ran gasoline for almost ten years after that. The real impetus was Salt Walther's first turn accident at Indy in the equally dreadful '73 race. Walther's wildly spinning car sprayed burning gasoline into the crowd on the outside of turn one resulting in a number of injuries as well as…

Absolutely NOT!! Remember, oil and water don't mix. All you will do by putting water on a gasoline fire is spread it around. It's the same as pouring water on a grease fire in the kitchen.

The reason that USAC switched to methanol as a fuel, after Salt Walther's 1973 Indy crash, was because methanol is a much safer fuel! From the Methanol Institue:

Taxi!!

I love that bridge! God's harp. The most beautiful bridge in the country IMO, but yeah, the tolls suck! And if you're going from Jersey out to Brooklyn you pay the $13.00 toll going out on the Outer Crossing Bridge or Goethels, and then the $15.00 toll coming back on the Verrazano. I used to make that trip once a week…

Of all the lousy bridges in the NY Metro area, the Tappan Zee is the least offensive - and I was in the middle of it when the earthquake hit a few years ago; never felt a thing! I'll quite often go out of my way to to take the Tappan Zee rather than the horror show that is the George Washington Bridge; massive tolls,…

Has anyone informed Hockenheim that they will have the honor - and expense - of running the GP two years in a row (and perhaps more)? The reason they split the race between there and the Nurburgring in the first place was because the circuits couldn't afford to run the GP year in year out by themselves.

I was at the boardwalk in Ventor, NJ back in 2011, just by chance, and wound up watching practice for the Atlantic City Airshow. There were some great displays by the Black Diamonds, and some warbirds, P-51s and the like, normal stuff. Then, in the distance, right down on the surf at about 100ft came an F-4D hauling…

Not in 1981 you didn't! They stopped flying the Phantom in 1973, along with the Blue Angels, and switched to the more fuel efficient T-38 Talon. Funny how time plays tricks on you like that.
