Have you SEEN the real Lee Israel? She has a very bulbous nose. Not the despicable stereotypical hooked nose used for anti-Semitic propaganda, she has a big bulbous nose that looks nothing like Julianne Moore’s nose.

Calling this anti-Semitic is a case of using that word way too loosely.

I feel like Super Mario Run should have been mentioned here, as it was the first time a Mario game came out on a non-Nintendo platform and was kind of a reinvention of the formula.  Was pretty good for what it was.

I’ve been waiting for a spiritual follow-up to Mario 2, by far my favorite Mario game of all time.  It felt so different (obviously because it WAS different, since it was actually Doki Doki Panic with Mario characters), but the gameplay and the way the world felt ... deeper than the others, somehow.

BotW felt like a great proof of concept with poor follow-through. The engine is great, but the quests were crap: paper thin story and very few of them had actual quest chains of more than one quest. And don’t get me started on the genius idea of making every weapon break after three swings and having to carry 8…

Here’s a solution:  quit being an asshole gatekeeper for Halloween costumes and let people have fun however they want to have fun.

“We’re embracing all the weirdness that most people would think is too weird for the masses!”  I’ve played all the Metal Gear games.  A lot of that shit IS too weird for the masses, and this movie is going to bomb harder than the non-existent ending of Ground Zeroes.

Somewhat related, I really wish PC games had a standard when choosing screen resolution that it also showed you what ratio that resolution is. Running big games on a crappier GPU I always find myself dropping the resolution and it would be nice to know which ones aren’t going to stretch the screen and look like shit.

There’s actually a really cool bar in my hometown that’s lightly themed around Tarantino’s movies: names of the drinks, decorations on the walls, etc. As much as this disgusts me about Tarantino, and I hope his career is over and he’s ostracized forever, I feel bad for that bar, and hope that it doesn’t impact them…
