I’ve never tried to use one of the third party tracking apps, but I completely understand the desire. The randomness factor becomes a huge turnoff when the effort involved in catching any pokemon, even pidgey and rattata, crosses the line from fun to excessive.

What exactly is the difference between the tracker and the radar? I don't get how it's cheating if you want to track Pokemon, a feature that was clearly supposed to be part of the game.
