Grays nobody here but I can second Pocket Casts for Android. I was hesitant to pay for it but so glad I did, I had been using Podcast Addict (I think) but that was overheating my phones. Most of the other apps I tried were weirdly unintuitive or didn’t allow downloads or other weird hiccups. Pocket Casts is really… Read more
Pocket Casts on Android is excellent. For a free option, you could give Google Podcasts a shot. I haven’t had the chance to test many others.
I’ve been using Castro and I love the inbox vs queue approach. I don’t listen to every episode of every show I like, but I want them easy to find when I do. Read more
The whole Mind Stone thing ruin Age of Ultron for me. I cannot really pin point why exactly but it felt like it took away what made Vision special, the twin special, and almost felt like they aren’t using the stone but rather the stone is using them. Read more
If only they’d followed a similar policy for Avengers: Age of Ultron. That could have been a great film if they’d left out the Inhuman twins and the Mind Stone and the Vision and the Ragnarok flashes and Hydra and...
That was a great run.
Well I have always been partial to Cap but I see your point.
I always felt they could make a good Cap movie. Starting fresh and being able to use the ‘man out of time’ angle makes for a strong take that the comics didn’t get to use much. What I didn’t expect was they’d start with a period piece origin story as a full movie, and they pulled that off far better than I expected.… Read more
Adam West could be the commissioner.
Well, Captain America became one of the best parts of the MCU. Who would of thought of that back in the day?
Well, Geoff John is involved in the DCEU and I kind of like his Aquaman writing. He started the New 52 run of Aquaman taking on the fact that people think Aquaman is the loser of the Justice League, and it was a good take on that. The cops didn’t really want his help, and people mocked him both behind his back and… Read more
^ also Aquaman is so ... Aquaman that DC execs are hopefully hands-off thinking it’ll break even at best - so Wan can hopefully make the film his own vs. whatever in the living fuck DCEU’s vision is.
I’d love the movie to succeed because James Wan is a great director and I think he’s got the chops to do it well.
It would make me so happy if Aquaman ended up being the best movie in the DCEU. I mean a great Wonder Woman movie would be ideal but Aquaman saving the day?
With The Flash and The Batman hemorrhaging directors, it seems there is something mighty wrong at WB. With repeated (but unsubstantiated) rumours that Wonder Woman is a mess (which makes me sad) and with Snyder directing Justice League*, are we eventually going to have start pinning our hopes on... In fact, you might even call him the Amazingly Poseable Spider-Man.
I wonder if toy technology will ever get to the point that action figures can have internal armatures and flexible, unbroken exteriors so that they can be fully poseable without all those weird seams and joints. I mean, I know stop-motion animation characters work like that, but I’d assume there’s some reason why it’s… Read more
