So...how is this probe suppose to return home if its batteries only lasted 17 hours? And it the asteroid was blue and reddish why did we get doctored black and white photos?

Is it possible the dust is chemically bonding to the surface rocks?  What’s the evidence for it’s absence?  Smacking into it didn’t make a dust cloud?
