I can't disagree with you on those points. They need to step up their online infrastructure and system OS. It needs to only have friend codes and message moderation for those who want them for their children. With that said for better or worse Nintendo is going to do what they want. I will say it seems they are

Don't skip it, so much of the show is different or just completely absent. I will say

I agree, they have some great franchises that they just let rot. They could really capitalize on the the gaming community's affection for these franchises, seems an easy way to please such a fickle group. Heck just an announcement that they would be up for download on Wii U eshop would be enough to please tons of

The hardest of the core...? What does that even mean? Also when you make millions of dollars on hardware it's called making money not blowing it.

They are creating new ip's, its just nobody cares or are to blind to see. I love Pushmo the best 7 dollar game I have ever bought, but people act like it doesn't exist. Then their is Dillion's Rolling Western and Xenosaga. All new ip's from Nintendo in just the last year. If we looked at the games they make that never

I think it's going to be interesting when all the gamers who have lambasted Nintendo for being behind the times look to them as the savior for the old business model we have grown up with.

What kind of Bass is that? Looks like an Ibenez.

They are just so good at it. I really hate their smother a series to death mentality but it seems to work for them and the legions of Call of Dutiers...

So not really video game related but I just finished A song of fire and Ice book 6: A dance with dragons, and was heart broken to find I may be waiting a while for the conclusion of the series. This series is flat out amazing. I have never read 6 books in 6 weeks before but I couldn't put them down. Any other fans of

Hey Kotaku,

Skyrim!

That is why you never trust Wikipedia, rookie mistake I'm better than that.

The gap will not be as big as this generation so I don't see them missing out on many multiplatform games, as long as the user base is there. Look at the tech gap between the original Xbox and the PS2 yet the PS2 got all the same games because the install base was there. Sure there versions did not look as good but

Considering the components that Wii U uses were not even available in 2006 kind of voids your statement. I think Nintendo releasing the Wii in 2006 was justified by the 70 million Wii sold, regardless of what random guy on the internet thinks.

Me to, it's a great machine with more games than I have time to play. Couldn't recommend something more.

Please tell me your being sarcastic the Vita is making the 3DS launch look good.

Glad to hear! As an ambassador I try often to help reverse the negative impact that blogs and haters have put on the little machine. I have loved mine since launch I still play it weekly and is my favorite handheld period.

It's not about the 6-12 month old ports. They are making a statement, when Mass effect 4 and the new batman game comes out it will be on Wii U day and date, with added content for the controller and hopefully shiner graphics. Also I'm sure it's nice for the people who only own Nintendo products to play these games

I hope Nintendo uses their digital storefront to release their riskier properties. It makes sense so they probably won't but, it seems like such a perfect opportunity. Low risk high fan reward.

Are u serious? My sarcasmn reader must be broke..... I hope.
