Me too, pointless study. Clearly they asked about every car in the lineup so brands that have tiny little luxury lineups score better and those with some cheap econo box options score worse. Genesis makes like 3 cars TOTAL, all of which are decent attempts at sport luxury but by no means do they sell anywhere near the

Seems to happen to older, previously dominant companies. They temporarily bolster some revenue with little crap like this. Meanwhile, they continue to bleed market share to everyone else.  2020 could be the year that BMW also loses market dominance on their 3 series to Tesla....or whoever else.  Their cars get less

True, you’ll still sell plenty baseish GT’s because 20 grand is still a lot of additional money. But I feel once you get toward 60k even mustang guys will be swayed for the Corvette.

I just hope and pray Ford is smart enough to side-step this and finally build a proper RWD sports sedan with the 5.0L. I’m one of many

Inflation is a funny thing though when it comes to cars though. If you don’t weigh in the performance and tech advancements of modern cars vs. their old versions pricing is flat. But if you can somehow account for those advancements the price of cars have plummeted after adjusting for inflation.

Perhaps another possibility is Chevy evaluating the sales split between the Charger and Challenger pair and seeing if they can develop the next Camaro Chassis to be able to offer 2 and 4 door variants. Seeing also the success of the Kia Stinger, there is absolutely a window to make the Camaro more of a quality machine

I understand the next gen camaro is just delayed, not canceled. They sell tons, I doubt it will be canceled. I think what they will do is put it on a diet and sell it to the front-engine GT fans who don’t want a mid-engined corvette. The Camaro was redundant to the corvette anyway, makes a good pocket for Chevy to

Every corvette, at least since the C5 had a really really high center console making that stuff difficult.  This one just doubles down.

I mean, Toyota was planning on selling HUNDREDS of the Supra over the next few years already...and I bet they will sell only dozens at this point.

Even my dad who’s a giant Porsche geek and always hated Corvettes says he’d be stupid to spend 60k on a Cayman.  Which is true...anyone would be stupid to buy a cayman, the

Eh, it’s more than that.  300+ miles of range, super-fast charging and performance that beats every other sedan in it’s class.  I do hate that interior SO SO SO very much though.

Dig a bit deeper and I think there’s more to the story. The Tesla Model 3 Performance with no additional options is just a little over 54k and has more performance packed in than any other sports sedan on the market. It’s as big of a performance bargain as the C8 and it’s fully electric.

I think Nissan also pushed the car as a halo and ate some costs to keep the car in the news as the leading performance bargain. They really benefitted tremendously from the free advertising too. I think the new Corvette is a corvette with the engine in the middle. No brand new traction control torque vectoring 4wd

I doubt it will, moving the engine to the middle isn’t the same as having insane computer controlled torque vectoring 4wd and driver assists.   I think the Chevy is eating fewer tech costs to go into production and can probably stay true to it’s original MSRP.

I should have uncollapsed other replies, I basically wrote the same post without having seen yours getting 60 stars already.  You are very correct sir.

I remember 10-odd years ago when the Nissan GT-R was introduced and at *Only* 80,000 it seemed to kick everything else’s butt and stayed in the auto-news cycle as a staple of buzz for years and years afterwards.

The new Corvette is bigger news than that.

I disagree, as other pointed out we lost several men over several research rocket programs before Apollo and still lost men during Apollo. We also spent absurd amounts of money on it and enjoyed blank checks in the form of full political backing by nearly our entire nation of voters...

The only way the US made such a

Yeah, I’ve seen this movie before. Tesla will likely surprise us in 2 quarters by doing something crazy like quadrupling production and sales and being more profitable than ever. If their business model was so doomed for failure you wouldn’t have every luxury brand spending similar amounts of money trying to compete

Thus, those are the pitfalls of a commercialized health care system.

I think it has to do with what the bar is for a sitting President to be charged with such a crime. If he weren’t in office, it would be a crime, Executive Privilege blurs the line, this is a talking point of this whole investigation dating back to 2017.

For 800 bucks or so you could have it put on a car transporter and delivered there.

Ferry flights happen all the time in commercial. Many of you might have had multiple ferry flights happen with the aircraft on your journey.

Last year I went to Canada from NC and in Toronto the aircraft that was flying us to RDU from there had a maintenence issue that left the plane flyable but not with passengers.
