Third parties are just a bad idea in a winner take all system. If you want a third party, you need something like ranked choice voting first. Till that happens you’re just begging for a Paul LePage.

I’d happily support a third party if I could find one that was building power at the grass roots and working their way up rather than running a quadrennial vanity campaign for President that has twice had the effect of putting an unqualified fascist in the White House.
