I was in a play during the 89 awards, and the only thing weirder than that musical number was watching it on a 10-inch black and white tv backstage. We couldn't really pay much attention but we all knew it was the weirdest fucking thing we had ever seen.

Oh my god yes, that final "take a look at me NOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW" is permanently seared into my brain.

a) not with this frequency, and b) maybe I wouldn't have noticed if the episode didn't blow overall.

ALSO THE MORE I REPEAT THE PHRASE "ALIEN DNA" THE LESS STUPID IT SOUNDS, I SWEAR.

Die Hand Die Verletzt was the first one I ever saw and I was immediately obsessed. I wish there had been one this season that matched it, but I will take Darin Morgan in its absence.

Was that Simone at 1:31??

I think I'd go with The Miracle of Morgan's Creek or Hail the Conquering Hero over it, but I have a soft spot for Eddie Bracken and fully acknowledge that Claudette Colbert and Joel McCrea are about the sexiest couple I've ever seen.

And Sabrina. And Sense and Sensibility…the S's are a straight up disaster area. I was dreading them all the way down.

One of Halt and Catch Fire's main characters had an abortion last season. She was sad and regretful in the aftermath, but I felt she was sad about the circumstances that led her to make the decision (primarily, husband is dealing with a neurological disease and possibly with mental illness and she doesn't really love

Blundht. The H is silent.

That and the "Bein' a Dog" rap. Holy shit I looked a fool on commuter rail.

Maybe we can talk about both.

As soon as I saw the question I went immediately to Ainsley Hayes.

One location closed…three left. I think we'll be ok.

I will give it to A&E: season premiere of Hoarders at the beginning of January is pretty genius programming. Hoarders has been my primary source of decluttering inspiration for years. This month, Hoarders will combine with that damn Konmari book I bought and THIS HOUSE WILL BE CLEAN GODDAMNIT.

Throw Shadow of a Doubt in there somewhere — teenage girl protagonist and all.

You're absolutely right — something I read elsewhere said she was playing Marty and its wrongness stuck in my brain.

Well if they put Freddie My Love back in (cut from the movie) then she gets a song…
