pop isnt a real genre though- sure artists like Britney Spears and whomever exist to make music that's broadly enjoyed by everyone, but the root of their music is R&B- and what is considered pop draws from the commericial-viable music of popular genres.

sure, but dubstep is a subgenre of a subgenre (electo/dance). all the good parts have been absorbed into trap music or whatever the kids listen to now.
