Well, it does seem like a better value than a nice home with a pool in a gated community.

Believe me, today I'm tempted to forget I own a Saab 9-3 turbo.

@Scoutdude: Exactly. These heavy Lexus boats might have a chance of paying off the extra MSRP if they are driven exclusively in stoplight traffic for more than decade. Which we know won't happen.

Why expose yourself to further ridicule? Right, because you are crazy.

@87CE 95PV Type Я: Ah, the Delta in Swedish accessories. A prehistoric Saabaru. Too bad they never sold it in Integrale spec (or even a turbo) so that it's at least little bit interesting.

@JonP: Ooh, excellent choice. Although I think "sucker" may be the more apt description for the buyer.

Didn't this happen in Sesame Street? I don't recall quite as much shocking mayhem, though.

Hmm...

@Elhigh: Absolutely. Just imagine the amount of fuel saved by not having to cart around an extra 200 pounds per car. Of course, we'll probably have replaced that weight with extra safety gear or entertainment devices by the time it happens.

With dealer discounts, the unique (read quirky) personality might be able to squeeze into an Aero. But I think Baby Doc would be happy with a 5-hp Evinrude right about now.

@juliansr001: Yeah, I'm guessing the cost of the resin was quite high, and there was probably the worry that nobody would ever be able to service them.

@Elhigh: The Torlon resin they used on these motors was pretty tough. The craziest examples were based on a Cosworth BDA, weighed 168 pounds, and tossed out 320 hp. That's about half the weight of a metal block.

The BMW hats are code for 'no low-ballers'.

@BroncoMech: I really should fix my avatar.

Yes. It's part of the F1 HD package, which is available with the purchase of the Bolivian Go-Kart Challenge Package and the Kenai Peninsula Sealskin Kayak International Series Package.

@Xander Crews: I had one of those. Someday to become a collector's item. Maybe?

@gin-n-joose: Tx! I knew it was some flavor of beige, but couldn't recall.
