Shit, didn't see yours!! Honestly came up with same one independently (you win by 20 hours)

Juliain't

"DS9 was filmed before a live studio audience"

You do realize that RDM's cameo in the BSG finale, he's supposed to the be the viewers' "Head God"?

Seriously, Dax's line deserved a sitcom audience laugh + freeze frame credits roll.

IC/tDiC are great cuz they begin the trend of sleeper two parters on DS9. First 10 min "Oh, Garak & Odo have a little mystery on their hands. I'm sure we will get an interesting reveal about Garak's past before this is done." 110 min later: DRAMATIC CHANGES TO THE BALANCE OF POWER ACROSS TWO QUADRANTS!!!!1!!

"Y'know Julian, the Changeling who replaced you made us sandwiches, good sandwiches, ALL the time… Just an FYI."

Wait. Almost a dozen seasons of the illogic of the holodeck and it's the holocommunicator that goes too far in unrealistic-ness?

Well duh. Eddington clearly gets a suppressed thrill out of *proving* his moral superiority, but he must make sure to bluntly give the lesson the story. Gotta keep communications available so he can deliver his sermon.

And even if it was a lucky coincidence I'm in the camp that it adds not subtracts from the characters. Estranged Father/Son is interesting, estranged Mentor/Protege is a bit more interesting, but estranged Mentor/Protege *disguising* a secret Father/Son split? That, my friends, makes for a good layered twist and

We were trying to find an historic parallel to DS9.

Not the perfered nomenclature.

The Drowned God strikes me as a semi-monotheistic version of Norse mythology. Kind of a combo of some of the stories of Odin + Baldur. Which makes sense with Iron Islanders = Vikings.

@jerodast I think the equivalent would be say a 17th-18th century colonial port city. There's less definition between military & civilian area compared to a 19th c. fort/border town.

For the record, I consider the scene in 'Assignment' where Fake-o has Molly call the Chief at work while brushing her hair "Mommy you're hurting me!" …to be one of the coldest, creepiest threats I've ever scene depicted in tv or cinema. Simply for the fact that every other character could have been watching the

Missed Plot Opportunity.

Kai Wynn & Dukat are most interesting due to the fact that they view themselves as heroes and are always searching/finding moral justification for their actions.

My fav 'Is Worf Joking?' moment

Now I have an image of him at a protest dressed as a sea turtle.

While I can agree with a bit of Feds.vs.Dom = US.vs.AlQ, it would work better if there were a greater divide between Vorta & Jem'Hadar on one hadn and the Founders on the other. If you wanted a closer Dom/AlQ parallel we would've had to keep the Odo-Founder connection a secret a lot longer. With the Vorta, Jem'Hadar &
