Maybe this is why I don't relate TSwift...I've never felt the urge to do a "Me + Bff = <3 forever" in the sand. And then instagram it.

We had "Pearl Harbor" Ken!
Does anyone know of an example where gentrification has "worked"? As in, higher income people move in to a lower income neighborhood, crime goes down, but rent control/some other form of sanction keeps diverse families able to live in the neighborhood and there's a nice mix of shops and other business for people of…
At what point is their presence inherently problematic though? Can they ever be part of the neighborhood? If they choose to patronize more boutique-y shops, is that also a problem?
I went to one like this, it was super sweet. The couple said they were having a dinner celebrating their union, and then they were married by a justice of the peace at the restaurant they rented! It was sweet, personal, and intimate.
Thanks for the link! The famous violinist example is definitely one I've read before, somewhere. For me, though, that argument is so absurd that it loses its potency. It's much simpler to draw the line and make the direct comparison to forced organ donation.
Not to mention that invalidates the argument that the woman has consented to pregnancy by having sex.
When you put it this way, it just makes *so much sense.* Even if you think abortion is ending a human life, you cannot legally compel someone to undergo a medical procedure to save a life. Not even a blood transfusion.
Another important part of Beyonce's feminism is the fact that she is naked, dirty, on her knees in one video...and then kissing and loving her child in the next. I think it's a wonderful example of multi-faceted womanhood.
Kim + Kanye = the couple you hide from your facebook news feed because they're insufferable, and then when you check back 5 months later and they've broken up, you feel a little bit of terrible glee.
I would watch Sharleen as the bachelorette simply because of her ***flawless*** outfits. Seriously. Every time I would watch this show I'd take mental notes of her style and (drunkenly) gush to my boyfriend about how much I love her clothes. Girl! Make it happen, or please get a style blog.
Oh definitely. I started that last fall, and got/am at juuust about the end. Any suggestions on how to get through that last plateau? I'm at the point where I can run for about 25 min straight, but it's not as fast as I was going, nor as comfortable as the other intervals were.
I think that's a good point. Boys don't fret about their body image as much as girls, despite the fact that their idols are just as unrealistic (like a Superman muscle halloween costume). The problem lies more in our socializing—women are taught that their entire worth is wrapped up in their appearance/weight.
Do you think it's because we sexualize female (fat) bodies so much? I imagine drawing a plus size princess would also include a plus size bust, which I can imagine people being weirdly uncomfortable about. The rest of the princesses are like barbies, like their busts and butts are pretty standard female-figure type,…
So, let me get this straight. Instead of allowing the fetus to die with its mother at what would have been within the boundaries of legal abortion, the law has forced it to grow to a point at the edge of viability, thus increasing the likeliness that it will have a short life filled with pain and suffering, if a life…
Oh my gosh, I know. I was freaking out for a second because I thought he actually was going to forget the black men in his category. It was so uncomfortable.
"He has persevered the hardness and made the most of yet another unfortunate set of circumstances in his life"
Sadly, rich people will always know that if they or a family member ever needed an abortion, they would have the connections and money to procure one safely. They literally risk nothing by attacking reproductive rights.
Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. But even at PP, an abortion costs about $500 +. That's a big chunk of money for someone who might already be struggling financially.
Jesus Christ. Miley doesn't have the butt of a man. She has the butt of a woman, because she is a woman.
