I've generally liked the season, but thought the ending was quite bad. Don't see how it could have been much worse.

I didn't get that vibe either, we're just trying to figure out why that moment particularly connected Korra to her spiritual side. It's not like she hadn't cried before.

If you don't want either of those things, you should just avoid reviews of the show. You can enjoy it all on your own.

I could believe that, and I would be satisfied with it. But the show doesn't really say that. The flashback doesn't tell us that Yakone helped his sons discover their inner any-moon bloodbender. It just said that he taught them how to. I want to believe your explanation, but there's nothing specifically in Legend of

I agree that at times the slapstick detracted from the characters, when Pixar's greatest strength up until now has been using comedy to enhance its characters. It wasn't terrible, though, and I really strongly disagree with the "pacing that's meant to be stately, but just drags". The movie trucked along at a nice pace.

And that would be understandable, except right before Merida bribes them they're shown being directed by their mother to clean up the mischief they had been making. It comes off as very clear showing that the boys see the bear is their Mom. And then the movie ignores it.

Brave's problems begin and end with sloppy storytelling, from my impressions of a single viewing. Think about this (since it's obvious no one involved in the film did):

I don't like him sounding exactly like Zuko, because he's not Zuko, and it's weird. Your children don't inherit your exact vocal chords. The age thing is associative, of course. It's part of what makes the decision really strange - both of the problems are very foreseeable. So they must be doing something with them,

Reasonable, I guess. One sees "appalling" quite a bit more than "appealing" round these parts.
