I guarantee you it’s “just another job” for everyone in the production.  Yes, even Jack Black...

I mean...acting is a job. All these people are simply doing work. 9 times out of 10 it is likely going to be “i’m just doing this for a paycheck.”

This spin of this article is so weird.

I’ve been on the internet long enough to know that people care WAY too much about shit that doesn’t warrant it.

And he was upfront about it! The article’s making it out like he went to the SMB guys and said “look, you’re gonna make Donkey Kong sound like me or I walk,” but it’s more like him saying “Look, any character I voice is just gonna sound like Seth Rogan, I have a pretty distinctive voice. Are you guys ok with that if

Yeah Kotaku is trying really hard to convince that this is going to be a a gamer cultural touchstone movie that somehow is going to legitimize all of our childhoods spent playing videogames. If it’s not treated with the importance and gravitas it deserves it will be a major insult to gaming culture as a whole...

Seth Rogen seems like the kind of guy that comes in two forms, enthusiastic to the point of obnoxiousness or devoid of any enthusiasm. If you can’t get the former, you really should look elsewhere.

Seth is cashing in. It’s just another job for him.

Lets be clear about it, this is one of those “feature, not a bug” situations.

This sounds like the directors and casting’s fault, if any blame is to be laid anywhere. They knew what they were getting. Shrug.

I don’t think he was ‘making demands’. He said ‘This is how I do my voice. If this is good for you, then cool.’ Blame the producers, if anyone. Seth was just upfront about how is performance would be and they still hired him despite that warning.

The ones claiming to be the most righteous are often the ones most wicked.

He’s always been great in interviews, and the ones where it was him and some combination of Anderson, Shanks, and Tapping made it seem like he’s a lot of fun to be around and genuinely beloved by the folks who work with him.

Indeed

I feel like Christopher Judge should have been this well known twenty years ago, and ought to be a full superstar today.

I respect your objection.

The better way to buy Apple products is to stop buying them so often.  If you’re going to spend $1,000 or more on a product fine, but it better damn well last you for several years.

Oopsie!

You’re forgetting UPN!

Could have been a whole list of Riverdale moments. Or Vampire Diaries moments. And hey, remember that time Oliver Queen nuked a city? Good memories, man.
