I think at this point, it's generally accepted within the fandom that Jinkx was the deserving winner of season 5. She was just such a fully fleshed out character with spades of talent at such a young age, while Alaska just needed a bit more time to bake, which is why she slayed AS2
Chi Chi is my pick for AS3 right now
This is exactly why I think 4 isnt the best season as many people say it is (or, hell, as I used to say it is). The storyline is near perfect, but season 4 doesnt have a deep well of talent like seasons 3, 5, 6, or 8.
Season 8 works best in the context of marathonning the series, I think. Like between the wonkiness of season 7 and the shadiness of AS2, 8 is a great palette cleanser with two of the best episodes in the history of the show ("Bitch Perfect" and "Book Ball")
