I still think the ultimate nightmarish face off would be Kors vs. Unicorn Timmy from last season

For some reason I pictured this occurring with Michael Kors as a violent Jack-in-the-Box that launched designers out of the workroom….so yes, make this happen.

I think it might have been TWoP that referred to him as the "makeup daddy" or "makeup bear", which I loved.

It sounds like a device that could be kind of hokey, though maybe it was better in execution than in theory

Sweeney Todd the movie is great if you haven't seen the stage show. However, here is what the show does better than the movie:

The problem with changing things in "into the woods" is that it's so complex that seemingly minor changes have huge ramificaitons in terms of plot, context, and eomtional resonance. Take Rapunzel, for example. The reason that she needs to die is because her death gives the Witch's last two numbers the emotional

there's "changing the source material", and then there is "missing the point of the source material and making it more generic"

I can picture one way it can work, if the narrator is voiceover and is only revealed when he's taken to the giant, but itd have to be executed super well.

Actually, I recently saw a production of "Road Show" in Chicago and I actually kind of enjoyed it. It wasn't on the same level as "Sunday" or "Sweeney", sure, but it was good! Though it could just be because the central relationship in that show is so close to the relationship of my brother and I that I bought into

really? I worked backstage for a production of Merrily at my school and that framing device was dropped

I liked Sweeney Todd the movie before I saw the show. Now that I have seen the show, though, I think that the movie is inferior in pretty much every way: they cut out a lot of great music from the show for the movie, change a lot of the music they did keep, reduced the character of Johanna from a practical female

or maybe it'll be grittily rebooted as an action SFX extravaganza starring Angelina Jolie's cheekbones

The one upside of this is that a musical theatre company at my school is doing the show, and if the movie tanks it can be advertised as being way better than the movie.

I guess that's true. Still, "Sweeney Todd" and the mostly forgotten "A Little Night Music" adaptation are such wasted opportunities. I can see why some of his shows (namely "Follies" and "Assassins") wouldn't make great films but I still believe that there are great films that could be made of both of those shows,

Jesus Christ, way to take the whole point of Into the Woods and completely ignore it.

also, any reality tv running gags people like? If I had to choose Id say Shangela coming out of a box on "Drag Race"

also form P&F:

Also from Futurama….

I love Pawnee's archaic laws, especially when they are about women.

I think that two crucial running gags are missing from here:
