I sunk a lot of time into the original as a kid, so this one hits in the nostalgia. It was one of those “weird but fun” games, and as a kid who loved Pokemon, I played it to death to get perfect shots and uncover hidden events/Pokemon. Looking at screenshots, I still remember getting to the rainbow cloud run to

1. ESPN+ and these PPVs are so irritating and expensive to purchase, and so shoddy in quality, that I don’t blame streamers. I bought this fight for my brother-in-law, and I remembered why I don’t care to buy these PPV fights in the first place.

Hulu has it from start to - now unfortunate - finish.

I think the later seasons are uncensored, as well, which is hilarious. Similar to Rick and Morty, there’s a funny authenticity in hearing the voice actors deliver curse-heavy lines.

This is a huge piece of information to share, because with Facebook mandating that you link to a Facebook account, the common thought would be “screw that, I’ll make a burner account”.

And that common thought would end up with Facebook bricking a lot of people’s fairly expensive piece of tech.

My problem is less with the suicide bombers and more with how frequently people will faceplant ships into capital ships and just...sit there, spamming weapons.

I see the hypothetical advantage to it (smaller target for fighters, you’re up against the hull of the ship, etc.), but it’s cheesy as hell and irritating.

As a TW nerd, I agree with most of these. I’d honestly put Thrones of Britannia higher, though. It wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t as bad as people gave it the reputation of being. Same with Rome 2. After they tinkered it up, it was much cleaner and more fun to play. I’d take either over Empire or Napoleon.

I’m not Luke, obviously, but Shogun 2. It’s the most streamlined and balanced entry, almost by default since it’s entirely made up of units and factions within the same culture. It’s not as expansive or flashy as some of the newer titles, but if you’re looking for a solid TW experience, Shogun 2 is it.

I like Troy, but I’m a TW fanatic who also enjoyed Thrones, which means...I’m in the minority there, apparently. Take my opinion with a giant grain of salt.

I think Troy is visually cool, and I like a lot of what I’m seeing, but there are some flaws. For every cool mechanic change, there are things that give me pause.

Funny enough, some of it was done this way intentionally because the original was worse and the directors and producers retroactively commented on how they botched some of the plotlines’ build-up and explanation. You have no inkling or introduction of what’s going on with Cloud, Sephiroth, or Jenova outside of “that

I...liked the Mythril Saber >.>

But yeah, for the most part, the weapons were pretty meh. I get that for the most part, we’re talking about early-game, basic weapons, but things like Purple Pain and Hardedge didn’t really translate well on-screen. Some had some decent touch-ups, but for the most part, they pretty much

Kingsroad in S1 was its own thing, referenced its logistics/timeframe in itself, and was done without affecting anything else outside of itself in the overall narrative.

Lannister cross-continent blitz and Dany’s cross-continent solo flight were tied to concurrent events happening, had pre-existing logistics/timeframe

I hate to say it, but as soon as I see the bloated home screen, I’m out. A few games that looked really cool as mobile time-killers were uninstalled because of how absurdly convoluted the UI and navigation of the game is just to get to the point of doing something.

If there are 15 icons for random aspects of the game,

I’m pretty psyched about the new Castlevania VAs. Navid Negahban is underrated, and really made the character Amahl Farouk in Legion. Excellent delivery of every line he has.

Same here. I loved War of the Lions, and when I got a new iPhone, I figured I’d pick it up as the easiest means of experiencing the game again.

The controls are just so wonky and jarring, I can’t enjoy it.

So you missed the entire point if the movie, I see.

Another reason Chrono Cross was ahead of its time?

But I agree that JRPGs benefit from having the fast-forward function. Some people don’t have patience or just want to get through certain parts (or all) of a narrative; and some people are playing the game for the tenth time and don’t want to sit through 10mins of

Exactly how I felt about Venture Bros. One of the greatest “adult animated” series since it came out forever ago, but tough delays between seasons. In their case, though, it’s - by their own admission - the creators’ own fault. They choose not to bulk up the staff or outsource writing, because they feel like it would

I feel like this season’s been a little meh the past two episodes.

The “Old Man and the Seat” episode was a little weak at times, but it still ended up having that same kind of surprising layer of depth at the end that tied the humor together with a purpose. And there were subplots that tied in and were enjoyable. This

I lost interest after Warmind, but the gear wasn’t the problem, it was the content. I felt like I got screwed for buying the season pass, only to get a half-complete main game and two 30min half-retreads they called expansions.

I got back in after the last major expansion, and while the story and content seemed

I power through it, but it really is jarring. It’s like they ramped up the console quality for the game, but kept the handheld font size. My wife’s a huge FE fan, and it was the first thing she commented on. Not the graphics, the intro, or the characters, just...“Holy ****, why is the text so damn small?”
