@excaliburps: Crysis 2 isn't even on my radar of games I'm interested in playing. It just doesn't do anything for me.

As much as I enjoyed Black Ops for the two months that I played it, it just got so old so quickly. Ever since MW each successive game in the series has taken me less and less time to tire of, which saddens me seeing as Black Ops offered some of the biggest changes and best refinements the series has ever seen to the

The only SOCOM game I ever played was the first entry on the PSP, as I never had an internet adapter for my fat PS2. I bought the first PS3 one, but only for the included headset (the game was on sale and the bundle was cheaper than a headset alone).

@aaa187: Likely because it was already announced to be in development.

@AngryFork: Hmm. I think a modern FPS like MW but with the balanced multiplayer suite of Black Ops would be best. If the next CoD reverts to the old killstreak reward balancing, I'm out of the series for good. No way I can go back to the griefing of MW2 when BO is so much more forgiving.

@PlaidNinja: Wipeout was already announced.

MARK OF KRI. YES!

@urfe: This would be great in a perfect world, but a lot of smaller development studios do this sort of thing to help build capitol for their own IPs and titles. Many do the same with XBLA/PSN titles to help generate revenues for larger budget hits.

@acamas: They wouldn't "let" anyone do it. They would promote it as a core feature. Maybe a game like God of War wouldn't fit, since it doesn't have multiplayer to begin with, but think of FPS games like CoD, which already have intertwining narratives amongst characters. Instead of providing them all in one title,

@t3g: That's what I talked about in my second comment: complimentary campaigns or stories set across different aspects of the same game universe.

As someone who prefers games like Uncharted, Killzone, and God of War to Mario and Zelda, I am definitely more excited for the NGP.

@Uncle Jesse: From what I gathered about Activion's coverage at the NGP reveal, they were hinting at making a single title (CoD3, for example) available on both systems as equal games. To get the cross-platform play you'd likely have to buy both.

If Activision (or Sony or whomever) comes through on the promise that we will one day be able to buy a PS3 game, transfer it to the NGP, take that game along with us, bring it back and upload new stats back onto our PS3... shit. Count me in for never buying a cross-platform 360 game again.

@xnervex1: Yeah, when I posted that the news about battery life hadn't been released yet. Good to see it's at least comparable to the PSP.

@sereal: Oh trust me, I would be, too. But it would be fantastic if they managed to pull it off.

@The 9th Sage: No, not at all. I just think it would be an unprecedented move on their part. What better way to cut into the public consciousness than by throwing a hugely powerful piece of tech out on the market at a significant value.

As much as I want Brink in my system right now this second, I'm sort of glad it isn't coming until May. That will give me time to fully enjoy Killzone 3's multiplayer before I get bored of it and need something new.

For some reason I REALLY like the little touchpad decal. IT looks like one of those etched iMacs or something. Cool decision on their part.

If this is reasonably priced (fingers crossed for a Nintendo-undercutting $200 initial sales price), the battery lasts more than 4 hours, and I can take competent versions of Uncharted, Killzone, Call of Duty, and God of War on the go... holy shit. I'm sold.
