@dowingba: It especially doesn't make sense that the knives and tomahawks go so far when things like semtex go a fraction of the distance and would not be that much heavier.

Last I knew, Pit Girl was not a combatant in the game.

Between Red Steel 2, Black Ops, Goldeneye, and Conduit 2, the Wii surely is getting a lot of top quality FPS love these days. Good for the fans.

@JebSpringfield: I concur. It's missing a few of the graphical bells and whistles of the HD console versions, but I recognize the map from playing last night and it looks just as big as it does on 360. Doesn't look like the skimped on anything other than some textures, effects, and player count, which is

@prestonspark: I guess. I played Metroid Prime 3 and thought it was awesome. I never gave Conduit a shot. Just didn't appeal to me story-wise.

@FireFreek: Hey, as I said, maybe it's not a great mechanic. The fact it's there, though, I figured was worth mentioning.

What's weird to me is that every other review I've seen has said the exact opposite about the controls. Many have said the motion controls are arguably the best on the Wii for FPS gaming. I'm sad to see that you actually recommend a traditional controller over the Wii+Nunchuk combo, especially considering using

@Spoony: Borderlands had some pretty wide open maps, but to be fair, most sections of the game were cut up into smaller maps, not just one huge one.

@gurfinki: I'd be careful. I just tried playing my Games on Demand copy of Fable 2 and the game won't even load properly. It got past the Lionshead Studio logo and then the screen goes white and nothing happens.

@gurfinki: I haven't played a game I have DLC for yet, but I highly doubt they'd make everyone redownload everything. It'd strain the servers even more than they already are.

@gurfinki: I don't know. I know I had to redownload Netflix (luckily I did not need to link it to my account again, which I feared). I also had to download ESPN separately from the normal update. I didn't try Facebook.

@b-radicate: Real cool. Getting error code: 3143-0000-D080-0200-8007-2746.

Is anyone else getting an error code when redownloading the Netflix app? I downloaded ESPN fine and then went to check out the new Netflix search, but it said I needed another update. I tried installing the mandatory update but it stalls right at the end and then gives me an error code. WTF?

I was really upset when I found out my dad went and sold the original arcade cabinet versions of Centipede and Pac-Man we had in our basement when I was growing up. He mistakenly thought I wouldn't want them "because I had all my Xboxes and PlayStations." Little did he know I always wanted to inherit them. Sigh.

@uWaAvenger: Sorry, but you're kidding yourself. Even the sites you mention, most reviews are skewed to the higher levels. Otherwise, there would be a lot more 5s handed out. Instead, a lot of "average" games get 7-8s. Again, like in school.

@uWaAvenger: Sorry, I don't read Game Informer. I do read IGN quite often, though. Their scoring does not create the bell curve your assessment should adhere to, though. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

@uWaAvenger: How many websites do you know accurately grade on a 10 point scale? Review scores are more like grades in school.
