This doohickey sounds like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo malarkey. I’ll stick to my tried and tested fuel efficiency booster, Thank you very much!

The 3.6 5 speed combo was great! Sure it wasn’t competitive for power or economy but it was the one you wanted if you were actually going to go outback with it.  It was a torquey motor and the 5 speed worked really well with it.

I’m guessing they just failed to meet efficiency targets during development and held onto the production/release dates anyway. Some folks might have been axed over this, because it’s pretty pathetic and surely cost many millions of development work.

I’m not the least bit surprised.  Nor is anyone else who said it was a stupid idea to put a little fourbanger in a full-size truck.

What baboons work at GM?

I wonder where the clips are showing the “real people” calling bullshit. How many takes exist where Chevy didn't get an agreeable audience...or got an underwhelmed audience?

I saw the ad for the first time this weekend.  I turned to my wife and said “I guarantee you this is based on some stupid metric no one cares about”  Well, there you go.

Chevrolet falling by the wayside when challenged by the Japanese...

It’s hard to beat the original Power Wagon for sheer truckiness. Simplicity and functionality are handsome.

Will David take it to Moab next year?

That car strictly had appeal to people who have Tweety Bird tattoos and a meth habit.

Pricey, but everyone take note: this is how you do it, especially when you’re a safety oriented company (and not just marketed as one).

Those rear bumper steps didn’t last long

Personally, I’d pull ALL United States forces out of South Korea. ALL! Let them take care of themselves. 5 bucks says the first boom to go off, South Korea will beg the USA to come help them. Bunch of worthless fools...

My dad had one in the 80s. It had a 2.2L Mazda diesel under the hood.

Looks like he wasn’t quite the traveling Salsman.

On the bright side, Project Slow Devil provided some of the best Jalopnik in my 5 years of reading
