I had the exact opposite issue just this week with my three week old nest. It malfunctioned while on vacation and sent my house up to 110 degrees! This led to a shortened vacation, 2 dead fish and a very traumatized cat. Not worth it! I am sending that piece of junk back and putting in an old school t-stat.
