Can I get a *WOOSH*?? :)

But this is a 4-door sedan. Seems like an odd strike at a roadster.

Two thousand nineteen: 2019. It’s the year we’re living in. Ostensibly, “the future”. Yet some gas stations can’t support a fill-up on pre-pay.

You’re wearing a sweater tied around your neck, aren’t you?

I’m confident that the Taycan will outperform the Model S overall, but you have to wonder if the apparent closeness of the comparison isn’t good for Tesla in some ways. You and I know the difference between Porsche numbers and everyone else, but does your average buyer?

LOL what percentage of people do you think take their Taycan to the Nordschleife? How about any track at all?

On a long enough timeline, just about any rumor is true. It wasn’t really clear in the original article when this 911 undercutting Taycan was rumored to be coming.

OK ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I live adjacent to one of the wealthiest zip codes in the country, and it’s packed with Teslas of various types. So, yes. People do actually think that.

...

This seems good for Tesla. Am I right? Their first real competitor (pure EV, performance oriented, luxury nameplate) retails for almost double. I mean, how can this not be good for Tesla? I guess it might make the Model S look “cheap”. Then there’s the fact that the Model S is a 7 year old design. Still, the fact that

Apparently, not all gas station’s have systems this sophisticated. At the Shell station just down the street from me, you have to tell them an amount. If you say, “I just want to fill it up,” they scream at you that, “I NEED AN AMOUNT!

Would you believe people were still doing this bullshit when lines were backed up down the block trying to fill up before Dorian was supposed to hit?

Don’t be rhetorical. Just say what you have to say.

Yup, with no more than 1 blazing watt of power (FCC limited).

SARA works anywhere, so the whole “keep your key in a faraday cage” thing is kind of useless. There are tales (unverified) of attackers using this in public locations. For example, a grocery store parking lot. Ricky Range Rover drives up in his brand new LR Sport. A two man team engages. The thief with the transceiver

So because random internet commenter “Harry” isn’t capable of doing any better, that gives Jalopnik a pass?

Depends on your perspective. From the user’s perspective, the computer ran with turbo in the “on” most of the time. You could turn turbo “off” to run older programs that didn’t play well with faster clock speeds.

Because you don’t. Buy. Someone. Else’s. Project. Car.

Meanwhile over here in Freedomland USA, you can’t drive your KITT replica around fully switched on because the sweeping red light in the hood scoop against the law.
