It’ll come down to personal preference. The specifications on both are extremely close, and they both feel about the same quality, IMO. Some people sit down in the X3 / SQ5 and love it, while others are turned of by one thing or another. We just happen to really like iDrive and BMW’s general styling. The SQ5 is very

I know that feeling. I was still in the edit window on mine, so I modified it. Hopefully that helps.

Why did I watch this with such interest?

Battery pack warranty is good for 100k — the car for sale is at 98.5k. New battery pack is $30k I believe.

Given the focus on lightness, I would presume a much smaller displacement than the 6.5L AMR is developing. Around 4L is a good guess.

All that does is change the mapping between the pedal and the throttle actuator. It doesn’t reduce lag. It gives the illusion of better throttle response, but all it really does is give you a ridiculous on/off throttle that you’ll struggle to moderate once you get into the twisty bits.

I mean, yes. Absolutely! Please do!

BMW is running their M Town Tour right now, so if you’re a plebe, and you can manage to look/sound respectable for 30 minutes, you can drive an M-car of your choice at a local dealer. I drove an M2 Comp and an M5 Comp, while my wife drove an X3 M40i.

But it won’t just be a true British supercar. It’ll be a true “spiritual successor” to Murray’s most iconic car, the F1, the press release said, and will get a naturally aspirated, 650-horsepower Cosworth V12 that the company claims is capable of 12,100 rpm. (The street-legal “F1” car Mercedes is working on revs to a

Elon Musk genius idea #2,347.

We get a clue at around 40 seconds into the video.

Given the value of lithium batteries, I’m amazed that theft isn’t a bigger problem for these things. I mean, look at this $300 battery:

By practical consideration. Yes, you can “live without” a front brake on a bicycle, but is it sensible to put a rent-a-bike product on the market without one? Especially if these things are capable of +20 MPH. Its one thing to stop your bike from 12 MPH using only the rear brake. Stopping from +20 MPH is another.

Your odds are better in Vegas. Just go there instead, then buy a better Ferrari with your winnings.

Because a cheap Ferrari is the most expensive car you’ll ever own.

Yeah, that’s fair. One of my other thoughts was, “I’m sure Hoosier has a set that would work on the Senna.” Having gone back and re-read the thread, I think I read a too much into the OP’s statement “on similar tires”. Initially I was thinking that meant Pirelli GT3 slicks. It’s obvious now that “similar” could mean

The difference is that a Carrera GT is unlikely to go down in value. Yes, the cost of ownership will be higher, but I think the Carrera GT is still the better long term investment. This is a car that will always hold its value due to its timing and position in the Porsche lineage.

I can think of about 10 other reasons... They’re neatly arranged in a V.
