This comment sums it up beautifully. Rectify is a show I've been loathe to complain about because it is so beautifully drawn, and I think when I eventually revisit it as a whole after it's over some of the more irritating elements of its slow pace will stick out a bit.

I think the show has always kind of been hinting at the, I guess weakness of Tawney and Teddy's marriage. I think it's even more apparent now seeing their development as characters separated from their marriage in S4.

I don't think I've been hit this hard by an episode of the show since S1, honestly, and I kind of appreciate that. In ways that the review hinted, I feel like this was a build up of stuff from not only the current season, but the series as a whole so far. It's nice to see the pieces being put into place for the back

I agree with this read. Rectify, in as many ways at it can, doesn't have heroes and villains. It has people, and people are a mess.

I liked this episode, though I felt that it did kinda meander at times and am interested to see how all this set-up will play out over the last bit of show we've got. Though I will say, the music during the Tawney therapy session had my goosebumps standing at attention. Such a beautiful piece to accompany her
