They aped everything from A New Hope except a standalone story. I think if Rey handed the lightsaber to Luke and said "Dad?" the whole thing would have had some focus. I would have at least understood why we knew nothing about Rey.

The internal logic of the movie doesn't hold up. Rey is paralyzed by Ren's presence, and then she's ruckusing him in a forest. Finn is a dumbass rube, but can wield a light-saber when the plot requires him to. All this force-sensitive nonsense is a big Jabrams hand wave so he can say check out my mystery box.

I think the the Force Awakens makes it ridiculously unclear and kind of retcons Jedi as a concept. You're a Jedi if the movie thinks you are for 10 seconds.

He's probably not gay, but he did gay honesty better than this gay can. That part elevated it. I think he may have lost the crowd talking about his dads dick, but I have 100% been there. The last chunk was the best gay comedy in years.
