Breaking NEWS:

Just wait until Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts in about a week and the new Captain America taking up the mantle is black. You would think people would already know these things since it was telegraphed in the biggest movie of the modern era but no.  They are going to lose their minds. Guaranteed.

If for the next AC Ubisoft would go back to their own combat system and ditch the boring souls stuff, make the game 60% the size of something like Odyssey or Valhalla and polish it like any PlayStation or Nintendo first party game, it would be world shaking.

For God’s sake this is not the future of anything, even next month.

What is up with this site the past couple of days? This and the 15 minute hot take on the AC Valhalla patch are like a 2 flush visit to the toilet by the editorial staff (if there is one). I’m no fan of the doldrums Blizzard has been in since Activision pulled its heart out and the departure of most of the major

You are going to get a lot of self serving and disagreeing comments from clueless dudes born after ~1990 or thereabouts but you are 100% correct.

This was just unnecessary. Especially for such a beloved, landmark game. It’s not a refinement but a fundamental, jarring change.

Drahhhhmmmaaa!

You will have 6 full months to purchase the re-release of a collection of now decades old games on the e-shop. If you can’t get your $h!t together sometime between now and March to get these on your Switch - yeesh. Nothing is stopping you from dusting off N64's or Gamecubes either if so compelled.

The overall editorial quality of this site and its social channels has plunged off a cliff.

This is what publishing without editors looks like.

I liked and admire the game much, much more than this reviewer.

The most vocal elements of this so-called “fandom” pretty much preaches that there hasn’t been a worthwhile installment in 40 years and also holds its original creator in contempt, even for the installments they purport to “like”.

Same mentality that leads to bitching about “no death” or assist modes in Nintendo’s AAA games. The end line for that thinking is that kids should only be allowed to play shitty iPad games licensed from the cartoons they watch instead of the AAA best properties dev have to offer, nevermind all of the other valid

Pitchford also told Gearbox developers that if they weren’t happy with the royalty system, they were welcome to quit, according to those who were in the meeting.”

This makes me sad. I LOVE the games that Naughty Dog has made (probably the most of anything every put on consoles) but this too-familiar story, combined with what has happened to a studio like Blizzard over the past year, are truly ominous for the industry.

There is literally no amount of content that will satisfy some people. Why not celebrate the fact that EA finally delivered a great AAA single player game under the SW banner before basically whining that they took the wrong tack?

I loved Hearthstone when it first came out but it has become impenetrable and to play it competitively without being Hawking-like with math skills is sadism. I also stopped playing when my kid - who LOVED the game - was put to tears over the preposterous difficulty of one of the boss fights or dungeon runs - I don’t

I finished the game a couple of days ago and greatly enjoyed it. Like so many people these days you are taking an abstraction and interpreting it literally, which is an especially obtuse thing to do about video games.
